Now that it’s getting down to the wire (T minus 17 and counting), I’m trying to figure out my accessories.
Bridal headpieces come in all different styles and designs but I think I’ve narrowed it down to two I really like. One, the mantilla veil, I think is a little more formal and I think I’ll wear one like that for the ceremony. But for the reception, I don’t want to be weighed down by a veil, but I would like a little fancy in my hair.
I’ve decided to wear my hair down, something like this, but with tighter curls:

I love the idea of a casual headband dressed up for the occasion. It should stay put and hopefully I won’t have to fuss with a comb or bobby pins while I’m cuttin a rug on the dance floor.
The steal option would involve a little DIY, but it shouldn’t be too involved. I’d by a regular headband and just wrap it in ivory ribbon before securing the flower to the headband.
Splurge ($675):

So I need a little reassurance before I order the steal flower. Help me out here – should I do it?

$675? Unless the Behr headband comes complete with diamonds and a full body massage, I’d pick one of the other options. Yegads. The Etsy fascinator is lovely and think of what you can do with the money you save.

Please, before you buy the steal, look at some accessory stores at your local mall. I seriously bought a beautiful, white flower hair clip that was pretty big for $8. I got mine from an accessory store called Amuse. Claire’s is also a good choice. But if you don’t find any, I’m all about saving money, and the etsy flower isn’t a bad choice either.

Don’t forget to look at Claire’s and other accessory stores at your local mall first! I found a beautiful flower hair clip for $8 that I will wear for my wedding. If you don’t find any, then I’d say of course, go with the etsy steal.

BTW I found mine at an accessory store that was like Claire’s, called Amuse. All of the trendy stores have tons of selection right now for flower hair clips.

This one on ebay looks just like the etsy one you posted at ~ half the price. (This is the last one, I promise. It’s just, I’ve searching for the exact same thing!). Let us know which one you choose.

OK, here is my secret weapon for getting exactly what you want at cheap prices. …. its http://www.etsy.com … there are homemade items and they have a slew of these flowers on there for your wedding hair. They have a special name but I can’t think of it right now. But definitely DO NOT splurge on this. You will regret it BIG TIME.
