Also, just for something to think about- most men already have a black suit and a dark navy suit, so maybe you could just ask them to wear their own pre-owned suits? Depending on their financial situation, asking someone to spend $800 in addition to travel might be too much- sort of like asking a girl to buy her own Vera Wang bridesmaid dress. Just my 2 cents. It's pretty universally flattering. I've lent it out to other girlfriends, and it works on everyone. It's also conducive to shawls/wraps/shrugs for those who want to cover their shoulders.
