Try Candles Instead of Flowers

Source: <a href: \Often, one of the most expensive bills at weddings is for the flowers. I myself love a beautiful flower, but I love the savings candles offer even more. Think about it – candles come in a myriad of shapes sizes and colors and can be mixed-and-matched endlessly. And don’t even get me started on candleholders. You could do a simple plate, a metal candelabra, or a bowl filled with your material of choice.

The choices are endless. Humor me as I pay homage to Bubba of Forrest Gump. Square candles, round candles, taper candles, tall candles, short candles, floating candles, pillar candles, ball candles, tealight candles, skinny candles, fat candles, votive candles, jar candles, and the list goes on… Candles decorate the reception tables

And candles are something you can buy in bulk and online. I happen to appreciate the selection at Candles4Less. I also saw some nice square candles in the IKEA catalog. They’re not listed on the IKEA website, but you can still get a feel for what they offer. For the most part, what you see is what you get. You don’t usually have to worry about them not fitting or turning out other than you expected.

One thing to avoid – scent. They may smell nice when you’re browsing the store, but the aroma can be quite overpowering with so many candles contained in one room.

I would always suggest that if you are using candles as centerpieces that you use mirrors underneath them. The reflection of the light makes the room SO amazing! And you can buy them at your local fabric store for pretty cheap.
