Start Early

CalendarDon’t waste time. After all, you’ve only got a little time to come up with a lot of great, inexpensive solutions. The more time you allow your creative juices to flow, the better off you’ll be. Keep a running list of ideas in one place that you can always refer back to. Even if you don’t think it’s something you’d do, note it anyway as you might change your mind later. And keep your eyes open for ideas in unexpected places. You never know what might inspire you.

Welcome to 12k wedding!

Take this as your formal invitation to join me on my journey as I attempt to plan a wedding for a few hundred people for $12,000 or less. You may think I’m crazy or that it can’t be done but I’m up for the challenge. At this point we don’t expect our families to be able to pay for anything so that means we need to be smart about all the choices we make in the planning process. That said, I still enjoy the finer things, so rest assured, this wedding will still look like a million bucks.
